Materiality initiatives: "People"

We recognize that Skymark Airlines, as a public transportation infrastructure, has a major role to play in realizing an inclusive society. By providing airline services that are easily accessible to everyone, Skymark Airlines will contribute to the realization of a society where no one is left behind.
In addition, the success of diverse human resources is essential for Skymark Airlines to create value through its business. We strive to create an environment where employees can grow and thrive.

Initiatives for Promoting DE&I for Customers - Learning Sign Language and Obtaining Care-Fitter Certification

Skymark Airlines is implementing various initiatives to provide easily accessible airline services for everyone. For instance, the Inflight Services Division internally conducts "sign language lessons" to facilitate smooth communication with customers who have hearing impairment. We also focus on training care-fitters who learn the "spirit of hospitality" and "assistance techniques" to help the elderlies and disabled passengers, ensuring to make them feel secure. To enhance convenience for passengers with disabilities, we regularly conduct satisfaction surveys and work on service improvements. Additionally, our airport counters are equipped with multilingual translation devices to ensure foreign nationals to be able to use our services conveniently. Through these efforts, Skymark Airlines strives to cater to diverse customers and provide a comfortable air travel experience.

Initiatives for Promoting DE&I for Employees - Childcare Support System

Considering the nature of working in shifts, including early morning and late-night, Skymark Airlines has extended the children's age eligibility from the legal requirement of "up to 3 years old" to "up to the start of junior high school" for the employees who can use the shortened working hours system. Since January 2024, this has been further extended to "up to the end of junior high school." Additionally, for employees using the shortened working hours system for childcare of children up to 3 years old, while the legal requirement allows for a full deduction of wages for the hours not worked, we partially compensate employees for the hours not worked to support them during their childcare period.

Initiatives to Promote Employee Engagement - Introduction of the "Career Challenge System"

To support employees' autonomous career development and foster the development and promotion of individuals who aspire to challenge, Skymark Airlines established the "Organization&Human Development Promotion Office" in December 2023, and launched the "Career Challenge System" under its supervision. This system allows employees to explore their career plans, while departments disclose their personnel requirements aiming for a match between aspirations and aptitudes. Although an internal recruitment system existed previously, it was often used for filling vacancies, requiring employees to wait for openings in their desired departments. By conducting a biannual-recruitment through the Career Challenge System, we promote a more dynamic matching of a one's talent and their desired career.

Initiatives to Improve Employee Engagement: Family Day Event

As part of our commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel a sense of fulfillment, Skymark Airlines hosts a "Family Day" event. This initiative is designed to enhance employees' sense of pride and strengthen the connections between the company, employees, and their families or partners. During the event, members of the management team express their heartfelt gratitude to the families and partners who support our employees. Additionally, we offer a variety of activities, including workplace experience programs and recreational events, to showcase the value of Skymark Airlines’ business and work environment. Skymark remains committed to advancing initiatives to enhance employee engagement moving forward.
Through these efforts, we aim to deepen the understanding and connection between the company and employees' families, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation. Skymark Airlines remains dedicated to promoting initiatives that enhance employee engagement and create a workplace where everyone feels valued and connected.
